Regional service in Brussels is done by a subway, a tram net, and a pre-metro, which really means trams in tunnels that can probably be converted to subway relatively fast. Its rather confusing. This bi-directional vehicle, though, is pretty standard and straight-forward. Interestingly, its design derives pretty directly from the american PCC tram. Most of the details are changed, up the point where it is articulated, but the basic idea remains the same.
By the looks they remind me very much of the trams they had in Amsterdam a few decades ago, and that were sold to Poznan/Posen. Which you know... [link]
