Literally seconds after taking this picture, I almost got a heart attack (in the metaphoric sense). If you're really, really good, you may realize why.

So I haven't posted the pictures from my Rhine valley tour as rapidly as I normally do. Part of that is that I hate this trip - not while I was on it, but now, a day later, when I can really enjoy my sun burn. The other reason is because there are practically no pictures that I think are really great and awesome. Just normal standard stuff. I do like this one, though, because it's such a rather unusual angle. A Siemens Desiro ML of Mittelrheinbahn (operated by Transregio) is shunting in Remagen.

und bitte gerne. Ich werde die Desiro ML auch in einiger Zeit zu gesichtbekommen: Rot/silber und meine Lieblings-EMUs ersetzend.....

Kann sein, muss aber nicht. Es war auf jeden Fall eine Lok im alten, blauen Design von Angel Trains (jetzt Alpha Trains). LTE haben solche geleast, aber auch CFL Cargo, DB Schenket und so weiter und so fort. Ich habe vor Schreck nicht auf Logos oder Loknummer geachtet.

Ach ja, die ÖBB haben ja viele von den Dingern bestellt. So weit ich es beurteilen kann sind es gute Triebzüge, aber sehr, sehr langweilig.

Im langweiliges Rollmaterial anschaffen sind die ÖBB doch unschlagbar - genauso wie im zu viel Bestellen xD von den 4020 stehen ja schon viele zur Spitzenzeit ungenutzt in der Remise und das sind "nur" 119 Triebzüge.

Haben die nicht auch vom Taurus viel zu viele? Ich dachte ich hätte da mal was gehört, das soll ja auch der Grund sein wieso der Railjet ein normaler Zug (mehr oder minder) geworden ist.

Genau das habe ich angesprochen. Sie haben bei der Anschaffung nicht daran gedacht dass einiger ihrer anderen Serien noch zu jung für die Ausmusterung sind.
