Find the Exit

First, some background: This is Herzogenrath station. "Ausgang" is german for Exit. You come to this point (from below) from the platform with tracks two and three. Now, tell me this: Where should you go for the exit, and where for track one?

Answer: To reach the exit, follow the blue sign that says "Ausgang". To reach track one, follow the old white sign that says "Ausgang". Of course, you can easily reach the exit from track one as well, so it may not be the biggest of problems, but you can't tell me that this is a good signage concept.
