The 8th day of July in the year of our lord 2009 marks the 25th anniversary of portuguese train photographer
 s birth, so I wanted to congratulate him. By the way, he was hoping for 5,000 page views today but did not quite manage yet, so head over there and help out.I've never been to Portugal, so my selection of railway pictures from there is pretty much exactly zero. I'm afraid the dutch class 1700, here seen in Maastricht a few months ago, is the closest I have, as it shares the outer design with both portuguese diesel and electric locomotives (all pictures by him). As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board.
