I never read the only book by Herman Melville that anybody remembers, but through cultural osmosis, I know that the eponymous whale is described as having a certain unusual color. And I'm fairly sure that this color is not turquoise.
Bonner Personen Schifffahrt seems to have read a non-standard translation, though, and based their ship Moby Dick on that. It was apparently doing sightseeing tours through Cologne today. I have to say, it's quite ugly, but it's still impressive how they managed to make it look vaguely whale-like.
