I've been thinking long (as in, several months) about whether to upload this one as it's not as sharp as I'd like it to be. It is, however, one of my personal favorites, and I believe I have worse ones in here.

A First ScotRail class 170/4 "Turbostar" DMU is standing in Aberdour station, a small scottish town north of Edinburgh with a station that has won several awards.

This is, by the way, the first picture that I uploaded both here and at my homepage simultaneously. Not sure if that is newsworthy, but it probably does not hurt either.

Ich bitte die Brücke im Hintergrund zu beachten! Britische Bahnhöfe sind schon was lustiges, und der in Aberdour bedient wirklich alle Klischees.

Ah. The class 170. I know these, as now defunct rail company Central Trains used them a lot. Then they were taken over, and their whole fleet of 170's was acquired by Firstgroup, and I guess this is where they ended up.

The First ScotRail 170's are all 170/4 and according to Wikipedia, FSR is the only operator of the /4 subtype. They got them all from National Express, who operated the ScotRail franchise before under the simple name "ScotRail". Don't take any of this too literally, though, my knowledge of the british rail landscape is rather limited.

Irgendwie macht mich diese leichte Bewegungsunschärfe ganz wuschig... kann ich nicht lange angucken das Bild.

Abgesehen davon finde ich es aber schön, ich mag den Zug und ich mag den Ort ^^
