Description
It's been a while since I've posted pictures here, hasn't it? Sorry about that, I just never got round to it. I did take a lot, though, and I'll probably post a few more over the coming days.
There are a lot of different rail operators in Regensburg. One of them is Alex, a brand name of Vogtlandbahn, itself a subsidiary of Regentalbahn which in turn belongs to Netinera, the german arm of Trenitalia. They run semi-long distance trains from Munich through most of Bavaria, with some trains continuing all the way to the Czech Republic. such as this one to Praha. This service is run together with České Dráhy, the czech government-owned railroad operator. The first four cars belong to them, and in fact those are the only ones that will continue to Prague, with a different diesel locomotive in front.
In the rear is the workshop of agilis, a subsidiary of BeNeX, itself part of the Hamburger Hochbahn. They run different services throughout Bavaria, including a network of electric regional trains centered around Regensburg.
